Did you know that yesterday was World Mental Health Day? In all honesty, we didn't remember until our Yoga teacher Jill reminded us of it. Even better, she incorporated several postures in yesterday evening's class to help ease anxiety. Our students benefited from that nugget of gold right away as they had struggled with anxiety for years. We love when the ancient wisdom is shared and passed on for improving mental health.
Yoga is an art that has been scientifically proven to improve our overall mental health. The ancient eastern Yogis designed each asana to improve the energy flow within our bodies. When the energy flows without restrictions, our bodies balance out, perform all bodily processes optimally and produce hormones at a level that is most conducive to our emotional well being.
