At every moment in your existence, you have to choose between your love and your life. On the side of Love will be the things that you are deeply passionate about, your innate truth and what is driven from within you. Alternatively, your life is everything that behaves or acts as circumstances in your existence. Ultimately, it boils down to whether you are going to live by your heart and deep connection within, or are you going to listen to the collective voice of all those around you?
It’s not always easy understandably. Often times we are programmed and trained to live a life that meets the demands and expectations of everyone around us. Yet, at the end of the day, there is a choice that each and every one of us has. The choice to create, to be, to do, and to have anything that your heart desires.
The voices around us aren’t necessarily bad, but it’s the influence they play in our lives that will get us in trouble. Take for instance, your career. If you asked yourself, “Why am I in this position that I am in now?” If the honest answer to that question is because of some influence outside of you, then you know that it’s not in alignment with who you are at the core. If your answer signals a deep desire to have an outlet to express your deepest truths, then that’s great!
The biggest resistance to this line of thinking is, “Well I have to make a living and I gotta grind out the day to bring me happiness (in the future)”. Usually, this how we normally think in this day and age. It’s about doing something now, so that the end result is, Happiness, Joy, Ecstasy…. Later in life.
What this really is, is Conditional Happiness. It goes back to the basic If-Then conditional statement. If, (I do this one miserable thing now), Then (I will have hope to receive greater happiness, etc in an unknown future).
If we step away from this just for a moment, it’s ridiculous how we are gambling our present day for a future that may never arrive. This carries forth in every single aspect of our lives, from relationships, to health, to spirituality, etc.
Ultimately, Happiness is what almost everybody wants in their life and your alignment with Love will surely be more in alignment with Happiness in the NOW, than any alignment with what your Life circumstances are offering you.
Always, Always, Always align with Love! Stop settling for an unpromised future, and start embracing Love now! If you’re still on the fence and think it’s a crazy idea to have happiness NOW unbounded by any conditions, then I’ll leave you with three quotes that will help you re-center!
“The truth is you don't know what is going to happen tomorrow. Life is a crazy ride, and nothing is guaranteed.” – Eminem
“Stop acting as if life is a rehearsal. Live this day as if it were your last. The past is over and gone. The future is not guaranteed.” – Wayne Dyer
“From my old neighborhood, I learned nothing was guaranteed, not even life itself. You better get it today, because tomorrow is not promised.” – Junior Seau
Focus on Love in every moment, as Life will see your commitment to Love and align itself to that high-flying frequency!
